What is Boiling Frog Games?
Boiling Frog Games LLC is a small, Oregon-based studio. The Ravine Platform is our library of instant-play browser games — arcade runs, card tables, puzzles, roguelites, tactics, sports, and stranger things — all playable directly in your browser, no download or install required.
Is it free to play?
Yes. Anyone can play as a guest with no account or payment required. Guests earn Frogsense cosmetic currency and cosmetics while they play. Joining as a member keeps that Frogsense and those cosmetics in your account across games, instead of losing them at the end of a session.
What does membership cost, and what do I get?
Membership is $12 a month or $120 a year. Members keep the Frogsense and cosmetics they earn across every game on the platform, unlock cross-game hats, colors, and stickers, and get the members-only game library. You can cancel any time, in one click, from your account billing page.
Can I get a refund?
Yes, on a case by case basis. Digital purchases are generally final since they cannot be returned, but we grant refunds for situations like an accidental duplicate purchase, and we review other cases individually. Contact us within 14 days of your purchase and we will sort it out. Canceling a subscription is always free and does not require a refund request.
Do I need an account, and is it safe for kids?
You do not need an account to play. Guest play is open to everyone and collects no personal data. Creating an account is for players age 13 and up, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone younger than that.
What do you do with my data?
Not much, and nothing you would not want. We do not run ads or ad trackers, we do not sell or share your personal information, and we honor Global Privacy Control (GPC) opt-out signals. The usage data we do collect is processed through our own first-party, self-hosted analytics, used only to run and improve the games.
Can I play with friends?
Yes. Multiplayer games use rooms that you can create or join. If you are playing as a guest, you show up under a generated name like Frog a8fQ, so you can jump into a room and start playing without typing anything in first.
Does it work on my phone?
Yes, the platform is designed to work in a mobile browser.
Can I install it like an app?
Yes. The Ravine Platform is a Progressive Web App, so you can add it to your home screen from your browser's menu for a full-screen, app-like experience. It is an online platform, so most games still need a connection to actually play, but you will get a friendly offline page instead of a broken one if your connection drops.
I am a game developer or artist. Can we work together?
We would love to talk. We publish other developers' finished or nearly finished games, help push stuck projects over the finish line, pay or credit artists and musicians for their work, and license out the game systems we have built, like our multiplayer room and controls systems.
I found a bug. How do I report it?
Use our contact page and tell us what happened: which game, what you were doing, and a screenshot if you have one. A real person reads every message.
